Hey i have a e60 545i and ehen i bought the car i was experiencing a slow shifts into reverse for some timr but now it wont shift into reverse. When i try it shifts automatically from reverse to neutral and now i have red transmission light and it wont shift from 2nd gear. Will it be enough for me to change out the transmission fluid, filter and soldnoid kit in my valve body?

Should i buy oem solenoid kit for my transmission or would that be waste of money in case i have to change transmission?

How many miles? start with fluid and filter/pan. See how that changes things. While you're in there, replace the mechatronic sealing sleeve.

If that doesn't work, purchase the solenoid kit for thectsc.com and remove your valve body and replace them.

Last and final thing would be change the transmission itself.
