Hey folks,
I am curious, if any of you tried installation of aftermarket door sill plates? If so, which ones have you selected for your BMWs? Mine is 2010 3-series, and due to its age paint on door sills is quite scratched, and you know it looks kinds silly to me. So I wanted to hide this stuff and thought that a cool set of door sills will do it. I've seen several options so far, of course, lit sills with lettering look very cool, but I do not want to drill into the metal to avoid rust. So I thought maybe to go with 3M-tape adhesive ones, but I am not sure whether these will stay at place for a while...
Any ideas are appreciated!
A quick update.... I thought about it and decided to give it a try and install the overlay door sill pieces on my BMW (https://www.carid.com/door-sill-plates/). I believe they will look cool and won't cause rust and stuff to the body. Yesterday I checked multiple install videos and surprisingly many people say that 3M is a cool way to istall something onto the vehicle, and it lasts and really keeps the stuff in place if you install it the right way (prepare the surface, do the job at the right temperature, etc). So, will give it a try...
