They don't offer the M40\M7x set though IIRC.

The last link appears to be a Japanese-made tool, fairly high quality. Nevermind, they're based in Cali.

    Tool ordered.

Broke 1 fuel injector while removing the fuel rail. The plastic robber on those injectors are so dry they crack easily.
    Any recommendation on injectors?

The injectors are actually specific to the M73N, you can't put in a mustang injector like the pre-98, so they are pretty pricey. I'd go reman for the broken one.

Before these machine shop kill me with their pricing, can someone point out the parts I MUST replace/recondition and what I can leave with when taking the heads to machine shop.
Is it necessary to also service the block? or just the heads?

Just the heads, sometimes it might not even be warped, take a good look. Inspect each gasket and support gaskets, the set is pretty expensive.

    Yea,

Avoid the intake gaskets and just use $12 Renzosil.

$25 each Victor Reinz head gaskets.

The support gaskets are tricky, Elring seems to be avaliable overseas for about $200 each.

    The head gasket set.

    Minus the machining,

    $50 for the head gaskets
    $12 sealant for the intake
    $250-300 for the other stuff.
    $70 on the bolts

If the head checks out, you can save on the set.

Found more loose head bolts and another broken one on both sides..

When Calculating the cost of all the gaskets and machine shop work, am thinking about going the used engine swap route.

Found an engine from LKQ for $900.. came out of a 1998 750 with 127k on it.
Will ths engine be interchangable with the year 2000? If so i may considere getting it and just do the valve gaskets, and other lil things.

    Any suggestions?

Moving a Pre-1999 M73 to an N is a job you don't want. Injectors, Alternator, ECU, recoding, etc

I'd go forth with the job, just save money on the gaskets. It might not even be warped.

Machining shouldn't be that bad, and that's if they find anything.
Removing those broken maybe a pain. And i wont be able to remove the block of the car to be checked due to the fact that am working in my drive way.

Lift the heads. Extract them, inspect, and see if they really do need to be machined. Resurfacing shouldn't be too bad.

Just get them checked, you're either very close or very far away from getting the main event.
