Took the car for a short spin, the electric fan is not running, even when blasting the A/C but the engine is not overheating.
I also replaced both battery. Bough 2 big ones, but the top one doesn't fit. its doesnt go in, too long.
Whats the right battery size for the top one?
Here are the battery I got from Autozone: http://www.autozone.com/batteries-st...20339_910031_0
BCI Cold Cranking Amps (CCA): 950
Cranking Amps (CA): 1000
Here is a battery chart of the batteries you can use for the lower battery. For the upper battery, it is smaller in size. I believe you can use a 48/H6 or a 94R/H7 battery.
Once you get DUDMD's cat software, you'll be able to dump the small battery or just use it for extra juice. But yea, an smaller will have to do for the top one.

I guess I will replace the top one with a 48H6...
Auxiliary fan not turning on when A/C is turned on. Do I have to remove the front bumper in order to remove the fan?

I believe the fan would be the same across both 740s and 750s.
I would think that the fan would not be needed during winter. But I'm not sure. Lets wait for someone to chime in.
On the bright side, the engine is not overheating now.
Aux fan is only really needed on super hot days with the A.C. running, or when the fan clutch goes out.
Yeah, it's probably bad. Should always go on with the AC, but it's not an essential part.
If it's above 50, it'll come in.
Otherwise no.
Will see once the weather get better, but all checks out good so far. Drove the car yesturday and I cant find anything wrong with the transmission. It shifts good.
Next I will replace all the fluid, and maybe the gaskets.
Then will start working on replacing front and rear suspension as I can hear clunks and funny noises when driving on uneven roads.
Get an OE BMW filter for the trans, fluid drain is useless without that.

Your current situation is not your final destination
Was testing the transmission this evening, and notice that its jumping (hesitate to move by a short delay, then force to move) if when parked i put it in reverse, let the car start rolling back a lil bit then brake and move it to Drive.
Its fine if I roll back in reverse, move to park then put it in drive, or from neutral to drive. It only jump if i start moving in reverse then to drive.
Is that normal.? I hope it makes sense
Yeah, it's a delay in shifting/hesitation.
Old fluid and a worn filter can cause that.
Been trying to trace a coolant leak but cant find it. I would top it off, drive for a bit, then coolant would be low next time I check it.
Did compression test, losing pressure very slowly but cant find any leaks. Any suggestions?
