This BMW thing is becoming a bit of an obsession. I blame my equally-car-obsessed coworkers and their terrible (ly good) suggestions.
I picked up a 96 M3 for track use and ostensibly for daily driving late last year. But daily-ing a 20-year-old car clearly turned out to be rather unworkable due to the inherent "character" of a 20-year-old car.
So in looking for a new daily driver, I came across a rather special specimen at CarMax. Presenting the latest addition to my fleet: a 2008 M5 6-speed

I have a couple of them in my "fleet" I could say also, I have my 06' M5, a 07' e70 X5 4.8i, 2000 e46 328Ci, and a e34 540/6, my 540 and M5 I track them quite often and autocross, the X5 is my wifes and the 328Ci I bought for a project car for my daughter and me to fix up as a daily/track/autocross car for her. As you mentioned though, they become addicting, mine started with my e34

Nice! I love that color on the M5 and the shot during the autocross is a keeper. These cars really do hustle in a fashion that belies their size. BMW has apparently found a way to cheat the laws of physics.
I just added a 2007 M5 to my BMW fleet that consists of an e31 850CSi.IMG_0004.jpg
