    Unfortunately I had no way of making the 3” down pipes work with the bottom feed manifolds. These top feed ones are not as nice looking but they alow for better down pipe and waste routing.

    I was checking as i went. They will clear everything. But I will probably need those little heat socks for them. The manifolds will also be wrapped

    yeah definitely would do both. I did that on my 95 RX-7 LS1 when I upgraded the headers. Its worth the peace of mind and not very expensive.

    I am finishing a LS1 swap in to a friends RX-7 right now. Its definitely fun playing with engine swapped cars.

    Nice progress! Sucks that Precision and I think most other turbo companies don't offer mirror image turbos like the Nelson Racing Engines do.

    how's the build coming along? I saw you were helping with the V10 Roadster build I am following on here. I am going back to the FD world of LS power as soon as my M sells.

    Moved the turbos again... just no room to get 3” down pipes past the frame rails and manifolds.

    great to see this is still coming along! I just put my LS1 RX-7 away for the winter. going to strip it down for paint, no money for turbos this winter.

    been working on the plumbing. Unfortunately had to go under the cross member worth the 3” exhaust. Just couldn’t find another way. It it bottoms out I will try something else. But the low points are inline with the wheels. So speed bumps will not be a problem. Just something sticking up a few inches in the middle of the road could be bad.

    the exhaust is dual 3” into a single 4” with a vibrant oval muffler.

    cut and flipped bits around on the ABS pump mount to move it over about an inch.

    Picking at the fuel system now, cut the bottom of the hanger off to fit this hellcat pump. Then to a 10 micron holley filter that fits in the stock hanger. feed in -8 and -6 return. all earls super stock pushlock.

    nice to see you are still making progress on this. Do you think you will be able to fire it up this summer?

    That’s the goal. Then iron out some bugs over winter. Also Install a boost control solenoid and a flex fuel sensor. Just found a place that actually sells e85/e98 up here in BC Canada.

    What are you doing about heater hoses? Looks pretty tight in there coming off the water pump (from what i can see)

    Gates and dayco make these ones with a moulded 90 and 3-4’ of hose. But unfortunately I will have some splices. Probably less than the factory BMW engine with its half plastic half rubber cooling system

    yeah i have those hoses in my car but I dont have turbo stuff haha.

    took this out today. Eyed up this winters project of getting a 8.8 back there...

    but this time around I just took it out so I can run the -8 and -6 fuel lines

    I didn’t want to use anything less than a 1350 u joint. Unfortunately the z3 is tight in that area. So angle grinder... hammer and welder sorted it out.
