I built a very similar setup! Here's some motivation for you. No current pics, but the car should be hitting the dyno by end of this month for tuning... looking for 400bhp.
Good luck! Glad someone else is building a boosted M10.
CURRENT:
Racecar: '81 e21 320i Group2. GT28 @ 25psi, MS2, e28 M5 suspension/brakes underneath, forged, cammed, 400bhp, 2190lbs, etc, etc...
Daily: '95 e34 540/6. DUDMD tuned, vogtland/koni, Schnitzers, other minor touches.
Project: '94 525iT. S50 swapped, supercharger in the works, manual swapped, Airlift supsension, Mpars, Brembo's, clean machine.
New daily: e60 530i sport package. Stock.
Here is my old E21 320 turbo.....
What clutch setups are you guys running?
I ordered stg3 clutchnet. It should be good to about 250-300tq.

That's a NUKE PERFORMANCE fuel rail. It is not milled to accept the angle of the injectors, and is one of the big fights I'm having right now. The injector 0-rings take the pressure and seal nicely up to 13psi so far. But I'm moving slowly towards 25psi, and I'm afraid they'll boost leak at that point. I may end up ordering a rail blank and paying a machine shop to get the angles right. AFAIK, there are no off-the-shelf fuel rails that work properly for our setup. Bummer huh? If you come up with something, I'm all ears!
I am running a G265 from an e30 m3, with an e28 M5 clutch and single mass ltw flywheel. I have no idea if it'll hold the power... I just had it laying around the shop and decided to run it.

This
I will start designing and building similar manifold this summer. Or i will go with itbs with custom air box which will be able to handle some serious boost.
I have spare getrag 260 and zf320 i might use once i get into 250hp+ range. Yep i wish i had dogleg 265. They are pricey though

Last Friday i and my friend bolted cylinder head back to the block and replace both front and rear main seals.
Yesterday i finished bolting timing covers ad water pump.
I also drilled 3/4" hole in the block and tapped it for 1/2" NPT oil return.
Today i will drill and tap oil filter housing for oil feed.
I also ordered all of my AN fittings, msd ignition wire, boots and terminals and a set of arp flywheel bolts.

I prototyped vr sensor bracket and painted bunch of parts. I got my 1/8" npt tap and drilled and tapped the oil filter housing.
Tomorrow i will clean up intake mani and start adapting m50 throttle body.

Blasted and painted some parts today.
Tomorrow i will finish crank sensor bracket.
This week i will start cleaning engine bay.
I will need to test fit the motor to figure out how much space i will have for the intercooler.

Got my 42lb greentops. Should be plenty to grenade the motor

Today i got some silicone bronze rods. I brazed the oil return fitting to the block.
I also designed the M50 throttle body plate. I will cut it from 1/4 6061 and weld it to the manifold.

My friends Art, Justus and Joe helped me with the TB adapter. They did awesome job cnc milling it and making 3d printed prototype.
I will prep the manifold for welding and weld the adapter tomorrow.
I also got some goodies today.
Autometer gauges and arp flywheel bolts.

I am totally confused if it comes to gauge placement. I have four 52mm (2 1/16") gauges: water temp, oil pressure, boost and wideband.
I do not like the idea of blocking air vents. I also would like to retain stock radio location. I am thinking about chopping ac vent part of the console and fitting 3 gauges there. The fourth gauge would go to either a-pilar or left side of the dash.
Any ideas?
Thank you

I welded the throttle adapter today. I also tack-welded trigger wheel but i will have to redo it. Its not perfectly centered.

This is terrific!
can't wait to see more!
Do you not have A/C anymore?
If not you could make a center console piece and put your gauges down there. I have my AFR gauge up high in a gauge pod, but I have boost, coolant temp, and oil pressure gauges down low. (On my 86 VW)
On my E21 I no longer have A/C so I made a center piece for the stereo and some USB Charge ports, and Volt Gauge.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but yesterday marked the 6week deadline didn't it?
I lied
Haha and its not a budged build any more. I blew my budget big time.
And i just canceled the order for the clutchnet clutch after a month of waiting and lack of customer service.
So it will be at least another month.
M10 perfomance clutch. What are my options?
Spec?
Cluchmasters?
Tilton 7.25"?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think about using tilton 7.25" clutch setup. There are couple used nascar twin or tripple plates on ebay relatively cheap.
I will call my machine shop today to see how much they will charge me for machining stock 215mm flywheel to accept the tilton.
Also are there any dofference between getrag 260/ zf320and getrag 240/245 TO bearings.
Tilton have a specific TO bearing that works on E36 platform. I was just wondering if the same bearing can be used on e21.

There's quite a few dtm M3 builds that use the 7.25" setup and a hydro TO bearing. Just a thought but if can't get info on BF maybe join and ask on S14power.com forums. Surely someone on BF track forums can give ideas on that setup.

Thanks i will try there.
I did some initial research and i found that the stock e36m stack height measured from the block to the TO bearing surface is around 98mm. Once i get home i will bolt stock e21 clutch and measure it to see if it is the same. If it is than i will be able to use tilton mechanical TO. If not then i will have to look into hydraulic TOs

Litlle update.
Ive been working on some small boring stuff like wiring harness, cleaning engine bay etc.
I also ordered 7.25 two plate tilton clutch. Tomorrow i will take my flywheel to machine shop to modify it for tilton.
I also started designing some gauge mounting plates/pods.
I plan to mount the gauges where the original AC knob and cigarette lighter was.

Budget= phrase used by racers to give significant others a sense of responsibility during the spending phase of a project build; reality is we spend about 3x-10x as much with mad money on the side
Worst thing could ever do is ADD it all up and keep track. I've a spread sheet to see "how bad it is" but try not to use it as a basis of perspective. If you add the hours of labor time just throw the sheet out the window It's for the fun of it anyways.
