Hey guys I have a '99 323is and was wondering what coilovers I should get for them. Should I just go cheap with ebay or solowerks. Or break the bank with tck or gc. Although I am a college student so my budget ain't the highest. Although I was looking at bc racing coilovers but for the non m ones on my year is $1250. Let me know what you guys think.
Feal Suspension. They use Penske internal components, and offer services to gut any monotube coilovers, and rebuild them with much higher quality components and more appropriate valving profiles.
Well, you didn't get the proper answer yet, which is, "why are you getting coilovers?" 1. Track, 2. autocross, 3. just don't know how low you want to go on the street? To which my replies would probably be,
1. TC Kline, but you prob can't afford them in college, I know I couldn't
2. Keep it stock, or you won't be competitive in DSP class without a bunch of other mods
3. Don't lower it more than about 1-1.25 inches on the street, or you will lose performance without other $$$ mods. I actually have some Tein lowering springs in my shop here in the NW corner of the USA that I'd sell cheap.
Good luck.
I don't understand kids these days, whatever happened to pot and beer budgets? Coilovers in college? What?
