Possible Suspension Damage After Curb Hit

Hello, I hit a curb while doing about 45 mph in my E60 M5. My wheel hit the curb while going almost parallel to the curb. Aside from alignment issues (the car seems to be driving fine), do I need to worry about possible suspension damage?

Did you take it for an alignment yet? I would be curious what the "before" data looks like. If it looks all sorts of wacky, then i would be replacing suspension components. If its only slightly out, i would get it aligned and call it a day.

Thanks Ahenry014. It just happened about 30 minutes ago so I haven't yet taken it for an alignment. Do you think it is absolutely necessary that I take it in for an alignment if it is driving as normal?
