Got my 2009 135i around a year ago with 62k miles on it, currently sitting at 71k. I've been having this problem with the car ever since a few months after I got it. This randomly happens during the cold start. Most days it starts up fine but every once in a while upon cold start the car sounds different when started up. A deeper growl from the exhaust and car begins to moderately shake. The RPM's don't stay put after I turn it on, it begins to rev on its own once or twice up to about 3k. After this random rev the car shakes and idle does not stay still. I've tried driving it once before when it was experiencing this problem and the car feels weak and jerks while I drive. Lately when this problem has been happening my service light turns on. I should also mention that on days when the car starts up without a problem, when I'm at a red light or in neutral the rpm's rev up just past 2k then fall back down to where they belong. This will happen in intervals of about 45 seconds.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!
