Finally got it back on the road again. My previous set-up was a gt35r turbo. All I can say, love the sound of the gt4094r. Combined with the louvers and an electric cutout, hearing the turbo never gets old. This new set-up is a top mount divided dual wastegate manifold made by Otis with a 3.5" downpipe. I really can't tell the difference in spool between both turbos. But this turbo does hit hard and definitely has more power at the same psi as my previous turbo. I'm currently on 14psi waiting to install my W/M injection system. I'll do some road tuning before I fine tune it on a dyno. I want to see how much I can squeeze out it with 91 octane, then with 91 octane and w/m injection, and finally with VP fuel.

Details on those hood vents please? I'm putting together a top mount kit that I plan to track so I'd like to reduce underhood temps.

The GT40/94r is a GREAT combo for any 3.0L-3.5L. If set-up on the right manifold the spool is great and the power is killer. Also it has bullet proof reliability from the Garrett.
The other bonus is these turbo's are now being looked over for all the new GTX stuff or EFR or Precision. Let's face it though......this turbo will run for days, makes a great whistle sound the new ones don't make, and will put out 850 whp ALL IN. I see this turbo as the end all for a budget build street turbo for anyone looking to make 600 wheel on pump and 850 wheel on ethanol of race gas.

Even when taking off in first gear without much effort, it can be heard. I'm very pleased with this turbo. I should have just skipped the gt35r and gone with the gt4094r. Can't wait bump the boost into the 20's.

As you can see, there's not much difference in response between both turbo. I did find a boost leak for the gt40 run but none the less, look at the difference. This is on a 3.23 gearing in third gear.

You guys have got me thinking about ditching the GT35R I have for my first build in lieu of the GT4094R
A GT4094 won't spool anywhere near a GT3582R, but it will make 800 rwhp and a GT3582R wont. The bigger turbo will likely be about 400 rpm behind the medium turbo, which could be 50+ lbs rwtq or rwhp at a given rpm. You will see this most in the 2500-4500 rpm range. From about 4500 to about 5500, the two will be comparable. From 5500 to 7000, the big turbo will make more power and torque.
If your goal is a highway pull car, and you don't mind downshifting to get the rpm up, the big turbo is the one. Same goes if you are just a street racer, since your racing will pretty much always have you above 4000 rpm, even after a shift. But for daily driving, a responsive turbo is a lot of fun and you will spend a lot more time enjoying the boost because it is more accessible.

The EFR 9180 is pretty close in size to the GT4094R. I have my fingers crossed that it's about the same spool and transient response as the GTX35R but with mo powa.

Maybe open 35r vs TS 4094. But, I agree with Phil, apples to apples 35r will crush the 4094 in spool up.
On the other hand, a 35r with a big back housing on pump gas and a open manifold will probably be beaten in spool by a 4094 twin scroll on race gas.
No magic, twin scroll will move both graphs to the left.

I went from a 0.82 T4 GT3582R to a 0.95 GTX4088R, both on open Boostlogic. Lost about 500 rpm in spool but gained a lot of top end power. For my driving style, I did not like it as much. Run a twinscroll manifold and/or E85 and the big turbo response will improve. I am copying chikinhed now, with the twinscroll manifold and EFR9180 -- should be a responsive big turbo combination.
Another thing to take into consideration is, at 13 psi both of those turbos are just starting to spool up. The 35r will be a rocketship from 13 to 20 where the 4094 will be more linear.
So, hitting 13 psi at 4k is good, hopefully 20 won't take much more time.
Either way, looking at your logs, that does seem to be an awesome setup. Logs look great. Now just slowly creep that boost up.
This is just another perfect example how important running a TS Manny is. I can't wait to get mine in. I may want a bigger turbo.
Gt4202 or 6870 + steed speed would be killer.
I've been eyeing that new gtx3584, but I don't think it would really do much up top for me. Spool maybe, but being limited to 93+meth sucks.
