I'm posting for sale items here for the first time in a couple of years and Panjo seams to be the new sheriff in town.
Is there a DIY on Bf somewhere that explains how one is supposed to post on Panjo ?
I tried but I can't find my add anywhere on Bf ???
I do not wish to use Facebook for trading.
Panjo is hard to use but I will use it if I can figure it out...
Thanks in advance for any help.
I've been forced to use that app on various forums for over 2 years now. So much hassle for so little win....
you can sign up for an account on Panjo.com through Facebook or email. Once your create your profile, you can go into the BFC classified area you want to post here on the forums. Creating a new thread will take you to Panjo where you log in and link your posting to the e36 subsection you want. When you finish your add it will automatically populate a link on the forums. Just make sure you specify in your text/description how you want to get paid and how you plan to arrange shipping. Otherwise Panjo takes a cut of everything just like the Bay (only with fewer tools and less service).
Pro tips
Even if you post an item in a model-specific section, Panjo's filter system and mobile view conspire to eliminate that model from viewers. So, please add to your ad the model of car your parts for sale fit.
As Panjo charges a fee in return for their protection, many sellers choose to add verbiage "please PM me on bfc" to handle the transaction outside of Panjo.
Thank you for the help and the pro tip.
Once the item is sold through PayPal and using PM. What should I do with the add ?
Close it ? Show it as sold ? Add a mention that it is no longer available ?
if I mark it as sold I should expect an invoice for 6% of the total price...
I would much rather sell through this forum. I never had a bad experience selling or buying here.
Thank you for the instruction. Much appreciated.
You can sell through the forum as suggested by specifying in the description to contact through PM and in bold letters don't buy through Panjo buy it now button. Some people put in an astronomically high shipping number so others won't make that mistake. Panjo gives an option to mark as sold or no longer available once the listing is live. If you do nothing, it expires after 30 days. I believe the fees only apply if Buyer processes payment through Panjo, but perhaps someone else can confirm.
panjo just sucks. the site is almost dead now because of it .

If I could make some observations:
- Panjo sucks. Fine, keep it if you must, but make it an option, rather than a preferred/forced interface.
- There are waaaaaay too many sub-forums for the limited traffic these days. It's not 2001 anymore. The result being lots of posts seeing not much more than tumbleweeds. This means bad user experiences and slow growth if not a decline in users.
I stopped selling on this site because of Panjo.
