jib85,
Thanks for sharing your build, I was just thinking it had been a long time since we'd seen any twin screw discussion.
I noticed you've incorporated the S54 oil filter housing into your build. Any chance you could share a photo of the AN- fittings used and install orientation prior to supercharger install. I have the ESTS kit that sees a fair amount of track time. I was under the impression the RR filter cap was the only solution compatible with the TS setups due to close proximity of the supercharger and filter housing. (That is unless you had the Eurosport oil line relocation kit as seen on Randy's car)
Alpine, I tried responding to your PM but I can't find it in my sent folder. If you find my response, feel free to post it here. If not then I will try to gather some more pictures and post in the thread.
The sight glass would make a nice level indicator. I tried with some parts from my local Parker store but I couldn't get the fittings to jive as tightly as I wanted. I also found that this plastic line and push lock fittings make it an easy drain plug for the supercharger. Just disconnect at upper fitting, and let it hang down, catch oily mess under the car, or extend the hose with some rubber hose slid over the plastic tube. But I have never been low on oil, either! Does anyone know if the supercharger starting to consume oil as an indication of it needed a rebuild?

Ah, Woodward Avenue! We wait all year for the chance to hoon like that. We get together somewhere in Troy around 5:30 am, then cruise downtown and back up through Pontiac. This section just north of 5 mile is wide, empty, perfect for the short hoon. Later in the day this is basically every car on the road, until they shut it down. We are in and out before traffic even picks up. Then we grab breakfast at one of the many great pancake places along the way and watch the muscle cars and classics roll by. If anyone is ever back in town for the cruise, hit me up!
This year and I suspect from now on, the M1 Concourse and the Dodge guys set up an actual drag strip right there on Woodward, in Pontiac. 1/8 mile, but it is as close to the old times as the police will let us get.

This was a short term solution; I use one of those flexible funnels__it's not like they hold much (100ML) anyway!

If this is directed at me, nothing received in my inbox.
I sent him a PM asking him, here's his reply:
I got the VAC adapter plate kit: https://store.vacmotorsports.com/vac...f8x-p1454.aspx
Then got some braided hose and 45 degree swivel fittings and put it on. I've replaced the fittings once already after finding the supercharger dented one pretty bad and was wearing through it.
Since the supercharger would hit the fitting, so I filed the edge of the supercharger down until it cleared. I checked by looking for contact marks on the fitting. Also, both fittings swivel out (if looking directly at filter housing, fittings swivel down to 8 0-clock and 4 o-clock more or less) in opposide directions to get around my oil temp/pressure block. It is super tight, but seems to work fine now with no witness marks on the fittings.
I used Summit Racing's black aluminum fittings, not sure if other fittings are more narrow.
1995 M3...Screwed
Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster... lol. I just picked up an estoril 97 m3 back in October and have had the need for more power. I've been digging around options and want to go TS. Im also glad this post is up. I thought the TS dreams were dead. Sorry to thread jack but where can I get a Eurosport TS system?? I contacted TRM, who gave me Josh's eurosport email. I've emailed him but havnt recieved a response. I'm going to give it another week maybe he'll respond. (It took TRM a month to respond..) Any leads though?? Does anyone have his number? lol text him and tell him he has a customer with the need for speed. I'd post pics of my car but Im on my phone and new to this forum. trying to figure it all out.
Tell Josh you have $8k burning a hole in your pocket. If you want to improve the system after that you can pay $1200 to TRM for a new tune.
Unless you can find a used kit for $4k, don't bother. Try Randy Forbes in FL.. He is almost the go to person for these kits and sometimes has one to sell.if you will also pay him to install it. Since he is good and will sort out your car in the process, this is probably money will spent for many people.
Don't bother considering turbo. You would make too much power. I love my turbo, but it is more power than most people want when just wetting their ears on forced induction E36..
These boards are very, very, very turbo centered. there are only a few like tanks and Misterm52 that are in favor of the PD superchargers. just something to keep in mind
Good!
lol, ikr, there may only be 2 or 3 of us, literally, but we...we....well we stick together! (until we don't: MilKT)
we cant talk TS or PD topics on the yard. LGs dont tolerate that. Our discussion happens through PMs...
Asking for advice about a TS or PD blowers on the yard will get you CRUSHED! these guys / girls are viscous!
They start off slow....................but then..........................wait for it.............................BAM they are making too much power!
Legend:

LGs = Lag Gang (give them 10 seconds they'll catch up to you)

Let's compare Tanks95 modded twinscrew dyno to an EFR8374 dyno to see how much earlier the twinscrew torque arrives.
Attachment 591947 Attachment 591948
This is not entirely fair, since Tanks95 has done a bunch of work since late 2012. He also says that about 18 psi and 475 rwhp may be all the 2.1L Kenne Bell twinscrew is good for on one of these motors, so its not in the same power potential league as a GTX3582R or EFR8374 turbo, but a smaller 500 rwhp max turbo would probably be even more responsive.
Focus on the low end. CES started this dyno at 2000 rpm to show the low end response. How do the responsive turbo and twinscrew compare at 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500 and 4000 rpm? Will it really take 10 seconds for a responsive turbo like one of these to catch up to the twinscrew?

Adding more pictures as I work through my albums, while wishing weather were warmer.
Fuel Pump Upgrade:
Relay wires under conduit:
Radiator and expansion tank modifications: I already had the Mashimoto radiator and an electrical fan, but thought this one would be more slim (slim blades perhaps) and fit better. Well the motor height is the same, so not much gained It is very tight between the motor and the accessory belt system. To gain a little more I mounted the fan to the off center on the radiator, which meant I had to run with no shroud until I could fabricate one. So far no overheating issues. I bent up some aluminum brackets and held the radiator to the support lower down. I also chopped half the lower radiator mount "cups" to drop the radiator under the top of the rad support. This gave me marginally more room. I painted it to make it disappear in the engine bay.
Tank from ebay:
Measuring:
Test fitting the new fan:
Brackets holding the radiator and fan assy. It takes a microratching 1/4" with a deep 10mm to reach, but speed nuts start easy and can be tightened with one hand. Also, no new holes were drilled:
A little paint never hurt nobody:
Result:
Water/Methanol wire harness left much to be desired, and was not disconnect-able. I used Weatherpacks to correct amperage.
Pictures of the engine rebuild per se:
Bowls in process:
Pictures of the failed headgasket after the rebuild. Had a coolant leak and the car got driven on track, overheated, tweaked the head and blew the gasket. You live and learn Gave me an excuse to try to do the head myself, first time opening up my engine!
New CEA Headgasket:
Prepping block per bfc diys:
Help required to place the head:
You're going to like your old (curved blade) fan better; hope you kept it!
Nice job on all the work, but took me a sec to identify the parts staging area (GE Monogram)
Dyno Run Trip:
There is something quite calming about towing a car overnight. Too calming. Slept here a few hours.
Early Saturday am. Where are you, Frank?!
Inside:
Running very lean:
After some fpr tweaking:
After an E46 M3 fpr:
On the way back, got a few thumbs up through MD.
Darn it, Randy, didn't even see your post between my huge (picture) dumps!
The curved blade was on its way out. So far temps have been about equal with this fan being much louder. Benefit, though, is it drowns out the intercooler pump noise
That monogram induction top is tits, works so well. But I really only got it because it had no trim or buttons. Since that picture I dropped a beer bottle on it and cracked a good portion off. Just like a windshield, it has stayed functional for now.
I wonder if there is a kitchen porn (non-food) thread in off topic....
That's a nice looking curve! Has anyone put 100% e85 on one of these kits? The centrifrugal kits respond extremely well with it! I'd love to see a stock compression TS m3 with 100% e85, it would make even better torque, earlier and more power everywhere!

This should apply to E85 as well :P
