Got the tan dash pulled and ready for new heater core. figures may as well do it while its all torn apart. The new dash had mice all in it so I had to swap all the wiring and insulation over from the tan dash. Also got the black carpets installed after a good power wash and dry in the sun for a day.

Now back to the important stuff... for sophomore year of college I finally got a spot in our shop so I can get to working on this thing again. it was hard to drive 6 hours just to get some work done on the thing. The tow pig looks great doin its job tho! I think whatever car I get next needs to be any color other than white with black accents tho lol

And this is where she sits now... finally got this build thread fully up to date. didn't take a lot of detailed pics but so far its just your normal thread. up and coming will be hooking up shifter linkage and getting this thing running! rear subframe is currently out of it getting new bushings put in tomorrow and diff re sealed.
in the future I have something I'm pretty sure no one has done with the back seat buttt it'll stay a secret until it happens there's some big plans for this car that will be up and coming in the next few months so stay tuned! Its gonna be quite the ride when I'm finished. Doing my part in the midwest to make sure people all want an old bmw

Looking good! Keep up the good work.
This is looking so good! Keep it up, and this will be an awesome ride!
I'm curious to hearing your thoughts on the difference in road noise post-dynamat once you get it out on the road.
Good stuff. Regarding interior, you are aware that sedan door cards will fit wagons? And sedan rear seats do not?
How far did you spread the Dynamat? What I've been reading is that the wheel wells are the most important spot.
Thank you!!

I am also very interested! I will be finishing up soon finally got my throwout bearing for the 420G!

Actually the sedan rear cards do fit from my first very quick test. everyone had told me this but I bought them anyway. they line up almost perfectly from what I can see. I also have a set of rears that match just in case...
So far I have done to the rear seat. once I get engine and trans in then ill continue in the trunk area.

Its been pretty cold here in Wisco so progress has been slow. I did start to pull the subframe for a refresh and new mounts!
I also figured out my issue with the 420g throwout bearing. I called UUC and they said I guild use the e46 M3 one with my flywheel I have! WOOHO
Ordered that... only $40 vs the oem one for my car was $227 yikes.
hoping to have her going fully before spring rolls around. (But also for some snownuts!)

I also pulled the subframe sanded it down and painted it to prevent rust since I'm in the midwest. While it was out I also did new Meyle HD subframe bushings.
