    Sway bar broke/need welder

Hey all, Haven't been on here long, but have found this forum to be very helpful. Hence why I'm coming here again in hopes of finding a solution.

The adaptive sway bar broke from the frame of my 2005 645ci. My mechanic wants to replace the whole subframe which will cost about 3k, however in doing some research I have found that many have had success with welding the brackets back on to the frame. The problem is that any mechanic i speak to will not do the work unless its replacing the whole frame. Does anyone know someone/mechanic that will weld the bracket back on in the NYC area? (I have the new brackets already)

    Thanks in advance.

search for a qualified welder, not a mechanic
