Can I please request a VIN option code list for this vehicle - this is apparently a security model, but built in South Africa - I am not sure if security models were ever built in SA. One of the VIN searches that I have done, show details for an E30, this plate is however fitted to an E23.

Use the top number, that at least shows as a 732.

Thanks, seems the SA model details were not kept in detail compared to other countries, will try BMW SA directly and see if more info available.

Have you check the reference sensors on your bell housing?

The sensors fail, and the iron nugget on the flywheel can fall or rust off.

You can bypass your OBC by snipping and crossing two wires.
