I have a 2012 bmw 528i and I can not seem to get the drivers side headlight assembly out. I removed the four bolts holding the unit but can't seem to remove the unit. Do I have to remove the front bumper also. Please help
I am very new to this forum and don't understand the response but I am glad to see a response

You don't need to take the bumper off, but it sure makes it a lot more simple.
You'll want to take it loose from the fender, fender liner and across the top center where it meets the hood to give you room to wiggle the headlamp out.

Correct. It doesn't have to come off completely, but definitely loosen it and partially remove it from the side you're working on. If you have to remove both headlamps, just go ahead and take the bumper cover off. It's not hard.
