    I'm stuck between two things at this moment , either a blown head or bad ccv. Car misfires in 2 cylinders but codes doesn't say why. Just showes misfire. Smoke started out calm but then quickly escalated. (Pics shown) CAR DOES NOT OVER HEAT, but then again might just be in early stages of a bad gasket. Sounds a bit of a vacuum leak when misfires so I leaned towards the ccv. Replaced maf at first cause I thought It was bad cause the terrible misfires I've been having for 2 months. It's just the head gasket an ccv has similar symptoms to me. Or is it just that my mind is lying to me because I don't want to put up with a head gasket?

    Also I get smoke through my intake boots. I blue deviled the car the problem vanished that night after an hour, I drove it in the morning. 3 min during the drive. Smoke RE APPEARS. So it's either the blue devil didn't work or the oil in the ccv just diminished that night cause the car was idle for an hour ?

    If you don't know how old the CCV is, I would start there. Also you can have the crank case pressure tested if a local shop has a slack tube manometer, that will tell you if the CCV is working or not.

    Thanks, will do. Do you also think testing it by turning the ignition on an removing the oil filler cap to see if there's suction would work to?

    Yaein = German for maybe

    The trouble with that is you will only know that there's suction, not how much. Crankcase pressure is tested in inches of water, so a proper working CCV should be pulling 4-6 inches of water. It is hard to tell with a piece of paper how much it is pulling. Now if you have an extra oil filler cap and some clear tubing, you could make your own, as I have a DIY somewhere on this forum on how to make one.

    But this is what one looks like.

    No, what it does is connect to the oil cap, and you attach the top of the tube to the hood when it's open.

    I did your theory, helped alot! It was the CCV. I had what was known as a catastrophic failure of the ccv. Crazy. Never seen it comming at all. Had my mechanic delete it
