My drivers side mirror got knocked by a passing car (I assume) while I was at work one day so I swapped the mirror that I got off my parts car on today. All went well. I decided to use this opportunity to change the door lock actuator at the same time considering the door panel was off. Well that didn't go to plan at all. My remote wasn't unlocking or locking the door previously. Now, the door won't even open using the inside handle, and I can't lock the door using the key or remote! Such a shit job too, but I had to put it all back together so I could drive back home (was working on it outside near the shed that I lease). I'm going to have to pull it all back apart and see what's going on.
I also swapped the ABS module over and it got rid of the brake and ABS warning lights, but the traction control light is still there all of the time. Any ideas?
It can certainly be the precharge pump. If the lights remain off when starting until you hit about 25 mph, then check the pump for operation.
Mine was not working when purchased, same scenario.
Tim's excellent guide:

Put back on my rims and lowered the car after inspection.. but seems like I lowered it a bit too much.. barely passing over my bump to get home, have to raise the front 2cm.

Got a few things done today.
First I had a broken right mirror, when it folded it would keep spinning, the gear was shot so the motor would keep spinning. Also even when it was locked open it was loose and would shake when I drove. I found an aftermarket one on Ebay, I thought I would try it out, it worked perfectly and an exact fit. Its fold, heated and electrochromatic.

Anyway here is the old one, and then the new one in place, I just switched the glass and cover over.
Next I had the yellowing of the tail lights like I am sure many others on here have. I stupidly didnt take a before picture, but here is one for reference of someone else's car, mine basically looked the same, maybe a little worse.
I bought this product its has multiple steps including a UV coating at the end to prevent the sun from damaging it further. I may try this on my headlight and foglight glass next it works really well.
Here are the results, I am very happy with them, better then I expected.
Last but not least while I had the door panel off I put on the Chromeline speaker covers that have been sitting in my garage. I still have to do the other doors
Very nice result with the taillights, they sure look like new

Just putting this out there, if there's anyone in the Milwaukee/Madison/Chicago area with an Orient e38 that wants to do a facelift upgrade, hmu
