Just got it back together. Replaced everything steering related up front and the control arms, replaced both motor mounts, front and rear sway bar bushings and stab links. 0W40 Red Line oil change and filter. Gotta align it by sight and then take it in to get a proper alignment.

I worked on sway bar today - I have been running the 13 mm ruff road euro bar for the last 4 years or so and decided it was time to play. I bought an e39 ('02 M5) 17mm bar from Nick to replace the 13 mm but the e39 bar was hitting in several areas. I decided I had nothing to loose so I heated and bent the e39 bar so it would fit the e38.
Here they are side by side....
Then painted orange and installed -

Interesting...that extra 4mm of diameter should be significantly noticeable. An '02 M5 bar, huh?

Gloss black - different. Will have to see on the engine, most people do crinkle finish.

I build hot rods, customs and have been through the ins and outs of electric fans. I typically use spal with 3000 cfm there spendy but motors are way more expensive. So even with 110 temp it can be done without fear and it helps to have a efficient radiator too btw.

Its crazy to think you go thru all this trouble (fun) time and time again and not know how its going to sound until you turn on Darth. My $$ you wont like the drone or the rasp. Your hard on tourself for the perfect sound. What is perfect for a limosuine v8 sedan?

I actually now have a "kissing crossover" from a Dodge Challenger SRT (V10) SS that my exhaust guy gave me. He took it off of a customer's car that was rear ended and insurance paid for a complete new Borla exhaust system. He gave me the mufflers also, which were Mopar Performance - oval but almost straight thru, slight "S" offset. I looked at them, thought a minute, said no thanks and he thru them in his scrape pile. The cross over is SS too, looks almost like the Corsa that I paid $383.00 for several weeks ago - timing is everything.
My new favorite steering wheel - from a 2017 X3 with M Sport package - very nice layout, paddles and soft as a "Babby's Butt"

That's about it in the main stream. Factory is fine but there are different levels of quality, Zion is the best aftermarket. I make a lot of my own parts (fan shroud) so I tend to use factory parts I found some guys in so-cal that will make a custom rad like Zion but I also talked to my local rad shop and they can re-core my rad and provide better cooling also
