Installed Monsoon sub in a customer's car that drove 3 hours to pick them up.
Ended up doing some coding, cleared codes, tried to fix CD changer, etc.
he loved the sound.
Especially after he found out how terrible the sound from the Bluetooth cassette adapter is.
Even an FM transmitter was much better.

1) replaced the whole Hood release cable
2) re pinstriped the Alpina stripes on my 7- the 7 year old silver stripes were faded to white PITA
3) de yellowed the rear oem tail lights
4) found and bought an OEM Marine Blau floor mat set( RARE ASF) from my shorty sporty from Germany( where else)

Gave it a wash, even thought weather is what is.. snow, rain etc.
Also applied to all windows, turtle rain repellent stuff.

and sadly no old BMW anymore, only high powered Seat Leon Cupra 4Drive as a daily driver.

Next challenge is the super rare center headrest for the back seat.
I have yet to see one, but they do exist as an option.

Oooh, that's a tough call.....I like my first aid kit back there..... but I have the front seat first aid kit as well, so it would make sence. Throwing one back there would be pretty easy. Any pics of the headrests?
Edit: just did a real oem search and it's the same unit that in there now. It just doesn't have a pocket for a first aid kit. So I may just leave it as is.

Not BMW related.
But intercooler on my Seat said, I dont want to hold 1.65 bar of boost, and finally said pokss.. made a quite a mess from original intercooler, it pressed the intercooler bottom off.
At first I thought turbo,because it didnt boost at all, but then drove back to the garage, and noticed something is scraping, turned out to be intercooler piping vs pulley, then took a look why it does this, and found that intercooler is loose, before I noticed that it is in half

I have the same rear leather headrests in black from a 760Li but they wont fit the 740 rear seats due to the size of the posts which will fit a 750 with power rear seats. They fit in the front seats fine. How did you get them in the rear seats?Finished the leather work on my rear comfort headrests! Looks.so much better!

Well after several "pushes" from a couple members here I am putting the pieces together for my next/last round of exhaust for Darth. This will be my last attempt for getting the "sound" that I want. So it will be - 2 1/2 pipes from the cats to 2 V clamps, to kissing crossover, thru a 14 " resonator in each leg,two more V clamps, then thru a flex issolator to the E63 //M6 mufflers at each end and out thru double tips on each side. Will take several weeks to get all the pieces and put it together - we will see...

The larger stalks don't fit the e38 750 rear active headrest/reclining seat back. That's what I have. (If that's what you were talking about)
I had to mod the headrests completely to get them to work.

Bought them used of a forum member, but you could use e39 air struts and modify the fronts to fit.
I forgot the dimensions, but you have to shave off a bit from the bottom of the front strut to fit e38
