    1998 BMW 740 IA MSport,
    Anyway,

    Mine's 1998 E38 740 I is... in the my garage ...:-(

Since my CCV change, it' doesn't works :

    - very rough idle, and stalling, whinning noise coming from the midle of intake manifold, and a " tik- tik-tik" noise going faster with the rev up....

i' m very disapointing and almost desesperate, because , i don't know what happend...;-(

So this week end, i 'll start to remove intake, CCv , verify fuel injector ...

I'll create a news thread, if no working and no finding....

    Cheers,
    chris ...;-(

From my pov, i like the alpina strip, because you get a lot of "alpina parts" on your E38.... ( Lip, wheels....)

    But , just a question :

Did your brake parts and your suspension setup , some parts from Alpina, or your personnaly improvement ?!?

    Have a nice day,

    Chris

Fabian, you are unbelievable, will you ever stop? Why double pane glass - noise reduction or just to say I did it?

    I do admire your gusto!

Thx Roger...Its just a mod I always wanted to do whenever I see a Individual or v12 I see that glass..It is a lil quieter than single pane.....Ive had Dual pane glass on front windows and rear 1/4 windows for 4 years.. As you now they didnt make 750i short wheel base V12s in the states so short wheel base Dual pane are rare and only in Europe or japan or Australia...I grabbed the Front and rear 1/4 glass from a 750iL from the JY`s...I knew 1 day I would find the short glass and also for a guy to ship them to USA...See the packaging? Guy was a pro..Used some sort of spray foam for the rough travel..
I know about door dings Max...I had to take my front passenger glass off for my dent guy to get to it...The fronts r easy to get off..its the rears that you have to remove the Metal top door frame off...The fronts simply door panel off. roll the bottom of the weather covering up and remove the 2- 10mm torx heads off the clamps of the glass, pUll up and remove...

Snagged most of the lights off this. Going to polish them up and if they're good I'll put them on mine or keep for spares. $90 for everything.

AutoPreme sent me an email and said they were returning my money - they don't have enough orders for e38 mats to make it worth while producing for our cars. They are also moving to the US and may decide to make them in the future.... I am not holding my breath tho....

They have had my money for almost a year - they didn't offer any interest tho either.

lol, I do the same...Thank God its the car in front of me...I also get headaches and nauseous feeling with that smell.... I used to have a Dodge Durango and had a bad heater core and the cabin would reek of that...I was so glad to trade that in for my wife`s E60.... 1 thing to note... I`ve had my 7 since 2006...Im on the same radiator and valley pan.... 2 different WPs, 2 Alternators, 2 expansions tanks, 2 sets of coolant hoses and 2 sets of coolant o rings....So I know Ill be due for VP and RAD soon

I replaced a badly worn windshield gasket

And my hood and trunk emblem.

I tried fishing line but that was a no go.

It did not want to come out.

    Hood was easy
