$600 to ship ~1,800 miles? Seems too good to be true.
I was happy with my guys headliner work, I meant it was a sihtty job to pull it all myself to deliver, which judging by how fragile the plastics werre Id have trouble trusting someone else to do that part of it.
Wow... thanks guys, good to have options. That 99 is one possibility if a couple local options fall through in the next couple weeks.

Spaceships & Woodgrain.
10/12 E89 Z4 sDrive35i: Alpine White/Coral Red, 6MT, ZMP
12/01 E39 M5: TiAg/full black leather, Supersprint mufflers + x-pipe, SSK
04/95 E38 750iL: Jet Black/black, M Parallels, Shadowline, x-pipe and muffler delete
Thats amazing, thank you. I sent the guy some questions and am looking for a local specialist to inspect it. Mostly curious what prompted the engine out service, and specifics regarding records and the common E38 issues. But if it checks out I'd have zero issue paying $5500 for it.
since my local to me options have all either disappeared or were Monets (i.e. 20 footers), I may have to resort to farther options, or reconsider an M62. And I still have that 46k 99 in the back of my mind...

Bidding stalled at $4k, reserve not met, and auction expired. I was a bit surprised, judging by the number of watchers.
Considering contacting the seller about a PPI and asking a couple specific questions, like why a 73k mile car needed the engine replaced. I'm a bit surprised the owner doesn't seem to be on any forums.
But Im starting to get over the looks of the E66, considering including 750Li's in the search. Though I have never drove one, so I may not even like it (or end up loving it...)
E65\6s are very good looking IMHO, especially the pre-facelift. Valve stem seals can be delayed by using additives such as LM2020 and heavier oils, transmission problems can be caught before things explode, but they are still a handful regardless. They are the last 7s that drive like a 7, but the interior is extremely tacky with the big trim and wonky doors IMHO.
The real abomination was the E90 (unless it's an M3, in which case it's very nice) that was made even worse by the facelift.

Style/design is very subjective. Personally, to me lookswise E38>E66>>E65, but who G's AF...
Id drive an E65 if I found a good enough deal. Just having a hard time assessing the common faults since it seems less diy'ers own those (that Ive found thusfar; I might be looking in the wrong places). Other than the alt bracket oil leak issue on the 745, and valvestem seals on some

When I have more monies, I'll get one. It's an iconic 21st century design, this is what I liked when I was a little kid. (The 32 and 38 are still better)

NVM what i said about FCP EURO no longer using coupon codes...just got an email for 5% of $199 or more. they told me no more last week ever...
I'm beginning to form the opinion, sir, that you you rock. Thats one I saw on CL,
https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/c...236716408.html
wondered why the price was so low for that mileage. Another prospect here, but shady looking ad, seller has not responded to request for VIN:
https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/c...205880578.html
TY, CL claims clean title. Wonder what the damage was, used to be googling the VIN would turn up pics if it was bad enough. But that hasnt worked for me in a while.
