Yeah those wheels are super rare. However, they crack if you look at them funny. Seems ACS wheels had extremely poor casting back then. My Type II and III's developed a few micro cracks under ownership. They were repaired and neither set has had cracks since apparently but still..

I'm picking these up this afternoon. Guy doesn't seem to know much about them but I think they're style 132's, possibly staggered? 19" though. We'll see. Seems like a great price.

Location kind of ruled them out for me, I want to put eyes on most used items where condition is in question. Especially after spending 18 hours total drive time to go look at V12 E38's described as great or even mint, that end up looking like they have one tire in the scrapyard.

That's actually a relief. Turns out these look awesome on an E66, but rarity, fragility, and distance are all individually showstoppers for me. I usually gravitate towards stuff that can be easier sourced, ideally something OEM/subtle.

Fortunately the E66 I bought came with Style 231's, which I love (look pretty good on an E38 as well). Looks like this:

I think a set of spacers and some H&R springs will get it where I want.

The Type II's sure are great looking though.

Yep. Picked them up earlier this evening. A bit of rash but not too bad for the price. Need massive spacers for the E38 but it seems they'd fit the E83 ok. Or I might just try to flip them. Really just looking for a set of winter wheels for the wife's car.
