    NCS coding VIN is faulty

I am trying to code out the adaptive headlight error.
I follow the instruction in here
    http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=773380
It load the car profile fine at first.
    It allows me to select
    CAS, FRM, and (? LMA?)?
I selected CAS, removed $524 , changed job to FA_WRITE.
I then changed ECU to NFRM. FRM wasn't on the list.
After I finished, I still see the adaptive headlight error.
I read somewhere that FRM needed to be programmed too.
So I start the process from the beginning when it asked me
to select between CAS, FRM, and (? LMA?)?. I picked FRM, then it started to give me the VIN is faulty error. Even if I restart again with loading CAS, it still give me that error.
how do I fix the "VIN is faulty" error? It was working before.
how do I finish program out the adaptive headlight feature from the VO to get rid of the warning message?

That error can be caused by a bad cable, or out of date DATEN files, or mismatched files. I tried to code a replacement headlight module, and repeatedly had errors. I started with a fresh install of the entire software suite, and that fixed it. It coded up perfectly. Are you running a virtual machine? Ensure that the usb cable is patched through.

Yeah, you need to update your daten file folders for E89XX. Also ensure that you have a clear .man file in the work folder.

    Mark.

I removed and reinstall NCS expert, and the "VIN is faulty" error does not show up anymore.

I followed the instruction to code out the adaptive headlight error.

I removed $524 from CAS, NFRM.
Why the warning message is still there?
Do I need to code FRM too?

Why no FRM in this step?

    but FRM in beginning.

How do I do the following?:
    "Adaptive Headlight Error
    Module: NFRM
    Code Line: CHECK_SMC_ERROR
Removes the adaptive headlight error check"
and which of the following application do I use? Is there a step by step tutorial?
    app

    -------------
How do I do the following?:
just go into the fswpsw.man file and delete everything from it. then save the empty file and then code the frm with that file. it will reset the module and no more error

How do I do the following?:
"set this to nicht_aktiv on your frm/nfrm module
    ALC_FAHRZEUG"

Some people recommend that you VO code BOTH CAS and NFRM, others recommend that you VO code only one.

When you "reset" a module, it will read the VO coding from either CAS or NFRM (which one for sure???) so I would assume that you want to do both modules.

Resetting a module configures the module to the standard settings that are required, giving the hardware listed in the VO.
