Parting 1989 535i and 1995 540i/6

535i: Hoping to get rid of this soon. Water pump went on its last drive but I did a compression test and all of the cylinders were 165-175. Willing to part the engine though.

540i/6: It ran rough and rich when I bought it. I was planning on working on it a bit but ended up losing two garage spaces that I had. Suspension, clutch and flywheel are not for sale but everything else is. Shift might be UUC, I have to confirm it. Compression tested 175-185 across all 8 cylinders.

All four doors have rust. Both front fenders are rolled badly. The front bumper is complete but it is Orientblau. The rear bumper has very bad paint. Front seats are pending sale locally.

If you stick your head in the front fender well (wheel removed, of course) and look towards the back of the car, there is a round plastic cap in the well that seals off a cavity in the body. My car is, for some reason, missing both of them. also, do you have the driver front door card, specifically that leather door pull? I have the other three, but need the driver's front one. I'll take that if you have it, or potentially the whole door card if you don't want to separate them. Shipping would be to Indiana.

I have the leather door pull but it might be natur instead of parchment. I will have to check when I get home.

The GM is not the green one, its black. The door pull I have is natur, not parchment so it won't make your car if its the '93 in your info. I think the change from natur to parchment was somewhere in '90.


So right now all I have for you is those fender grommets. I am going to be leaving town for about a week tomorrow, but won't mind throwing those things in the mail when I get back. If there is anything else you might need, let me know.
