I read some of your earlier posts on a M50 to M52 swap. I bought a E36 sedan converted to a track car. The valves are bent due to an over rev. The car has sat dry and clean since 2014. I plan on getting back into racing and this was too good adeal to pass by.
I found a bunch of motors but got a great deal on a 1997 328 with an M52.
My son sent me your posts and now I am trying to decide a course of action.
Put the M52 in and try to work around the sensors etc.
Pull the head on the M50 check the pistons and maybe rebuild the head.
I prefer to drop in the M52. I heard it run and its a good find. The car has no title so I got the whole car, for 600.00. It gives me a bunch of spare everything. As long as the calipers bolt on, etc.
So tell me what issues I have to deal with on an M52 in an M50. No emissions to worry about.
