Hi All,
I just turned 30 and am looking into a midlife crisis in the form of an E92 purchase. Price range is <=$40k. My only concern is actual cost of ownership because this car is going to be responsible for a 60+ mile per day commute and on rare occasion for toting rug rats. Please talk me into it or if necessary steer me clear because that NA S65 is giving me anxiety not being at the tip of my foot....

I'll talk you into it since nobody else will. I'll play Devil's advocate it will be one of the best purchases you made.

30 is too young for a midlife crisis.
Do it--I just did and I'm looking for validation.
Gas mileage isn't great and the tank is a little small, so you'll be filling up a lot.
Otherwise, it's a car to keep for a long time... as long as the rod bearings and throttle actuators don't fail.
