Well I finally joined the M3 group yesterday (12-21-16).
I was looking for a M3 project car for cheap, not a pristine one. I found one in pretty good condition for a great price and snatched it up!
Salvage title carbon black on cinnamon interior with a few aftermarket parts here and there.
I would have preferred a 6 speed manual but I definitely don't mind the SMG and am prepared to pay for it when the notorious parts give out.
This will be a heavily modified car and I can't wait to get it started, enjoy!
Here is my old 323i that was totaled by a family member about 2 years ago now.
I plan on "stancing" the M3 but I will keep it much cleaner than this much more performance minded.

Wow that 323 is horrible.
Hopefully you don't do that to the M3.
Some more pictures until I get the airlift performance bag set up installed
m3 looks clean!
Good pictures!
CBlock
I've seen performance bags on cars before, but if you put any kind of stretched tire setup on the car you can just forget about performance.

Some more pictures for now
It's always fun when a deer hits you...
New corner lights look like they'll be my first modification. Fender is bent as you can see in the picture, I have a plan to take care of that down the road anyways...

Took her to my friend's friend who is a bmw mechanic and he inspected the car. Everything looks good except a small leak in the lower radiator hose. The rear sway bar wasn't bolted down in the back on the right side though..... weird. So of course we fixed that.
Ordered all the fluids I could think of to give it a complete re-fresh. Let me know if you can think of anything else it would need done.
I ordered
Oil change kit
Coolant
Trans fluid
Diff fluid
Spark plugs
Also ordered new corner and side lights since the "clear" one got busted.
Received and installed the new LED Smoked Corner lights and side markers from Khoalty.
The passenger side corner was hard to push in because of the bent fender from the deer incident.
After installing it as best as possible I noticed condensation starting to collect on the inside of the headlight lens. Also the projector stopped working. I'm guessing when I was pushing the corner into place it must have made contact with the back of the projector and pushed it out of it's socket.
Also the side markers don't work. I think I just need to flip the bulb though.
Some of you might have heard but we are getting an intense rain storm (for the area) so that'll all have to wait until that's over since I don't have a garage.
On a side note, finally finished installing coils on the daily driver
IG @Bsaintmedia | Cammed LS6 Swapped E36 M3 "The GMW M3"
Threw the 18's on the daily driver. My 19's should arrive before Monday though. These ones are for sale if anyone wants them. Aodhan ds01 18x9.5 et30 5x114.3.
Less honda, less stance and more m3 please.
No updates yet, but here's some pictures I took that I like haha. Spent all my time on the daily civic. Now it's time to focus on the M.
I plan on drag racing my buddy on the 9th of April with his HR 350z. He'll probably beat me but it will be fun. I also don't know how to control the launch yet. Whenever I try a launch I either start going sideways or I don't give it enough and it is super sluggish.
^Sacramento California raceway if anyone is in the area and wants to go also. It's going to be a big event I believe.
fantastic thread...some pictures of a honda and a motorcycle and zero progression on an old M3
I finally have a, slightly larger, update haha
Blacked out headlights
Then I added a side skirt extension and modified the exhaust to be as follows; fabspeed headers, stock section 1 with AR25 resonator added next to stock resonator, stock section 2, topspeed muffler/backbox, and 4" double walled tips that had to have a custom set up.
I ordered another AR25 to replace the stock resonator. The way it is now sounds pretty damn good, but I want to quiet it down a bit and try to get rid of the last little bit of rasp and drone. Hopefully switching out the stock resonator will do that.
Besides that I just got some new rear tires (federal RS-RR 275 width) and they are doing well. Seems you get a lot from them for the price.
On a bad note, my vanos is taking a crap on me sadly. We noticed excessive grim around it and now it's squealing like crazy. An appointment is being set up to diagnose and fix it :/
