looking for the uncracked dash for sale

Title pretty much says it all. You got one? I'm willing to pay actual cash money -- which, if I understand things correctly, still has some value...

Ummm, it's my belief that all models within the e21 range have the same dash, so whatever you got that uncracked and otherwise in very good condition will do. Thanks!

The plastic dash covers out there are actually excellent. I got mine on ebay for $120

There's different part numbers for 79 and earlier and 80 and up for the dashboard, so there may some differences. They usually don't have different part numbers if the parts are the same.

Yes, you're right. Sorry -- there is no difference model to model but maybe for year to year. I have a 1982, so late style (although I'm unaware of what the differences might be).

Go to www.justdashes.com and pay about $1200 to have yours correctly refurbished in a way that will never crack again. If you pay $300+ for a used one, it is absolutely guaranteed to crack under the right conditions, and you cannot enjoy the car if you're worried about it all the time.

77-79 and 80-83 dashboards are very different. The biggest difference is that pocket/storage area in front of the passenger and hvac vents are different. In order to swap dashboards most if not all hvac ducts have to be swapped.

Same goes for dash caps, if you decide to get one, make sure to get the correct cap. I ended up with 77-79 cap that does not fit my 81 dash. Had to buy 80-83 cap, so now I have two.
If anyone wants new never installed coverlay cap for 77-79 let me know.

Bumping this up again. Justdashes wants $2500 to refinish it. Don't make me do it! Sell me your good used dash, please!

How did your cap fit on a cracked dash? Do you have to sand the cracks down for a good fit or will it go right on top? I was planning on a dash restore but this would be leagues easier for my 78.
