    F25 Rear Center Jack Point?

    Hi all,
I'm not finding anything on a center jack point on the F25 like E83 had.
There's a vibration absorber, like a big block hanging down from the rear axle carrier, just aft of the differential. That looked like a great jacking point. But not so much... the vibration absorber puked out its silicone guts all over my jack and is now clattering around on its bolt...
Is there a good spot to jack the center of a F25?
I would really prefer to jack it from the middle because it makes it so easy to put my special jack stands in the plastic side jack points under the rocker panels.

    Hey buddy,

I had the same exact issue as you while jacking up my 2017 BMW x3. I ended up jacking on the vibration absorber and causing damages to it. Oil leaked out from the absorber. And I have also found one single ball bearing inside the saddle of my jack which is extremely concerning to me. I am wondering if you have found any ball bearing after jacking up on the vibration absorber. Thanks!

Here are the 3 locations BMW recommends for lifting. And don't get caught up in the oft misinformed notion about the rear diff. I believe the warning not to lift under the rear diff's cover has incorrectly been turned into not to lift from the diff (itself). Click the link below (above the image) for more detailed info from the BMW TIS website:

    Warning!

The vehicle may be raised with a trolley jack only at the following mounting point!

    1 Car jacking point
    2 Side car jacking points
    3 Rear axle final drive

Note: It is not permitted to raise the vehicle at the rear differential cover!
