I was at a stop sign and all of the sudden I hear the dreaded crunch. I look back to see a morbidly obese lady in a beat up lancer acting as if she didn't know what happened. I had an exam in 30 minutes that I couldn't be late to so I got her information quickly and left. Anyway, the bumper has a very small dent, but more importantly, lots of little scratches and one big scratch (they look light to medium depth). The question is: if I file a claim, will my car be labeled as in an accident when it comes time to sell? It is not worth replacing the bumper so I really just want the money for mods, and to raise that idiot's insurance rates. Not sure if I should call the insurance company or try to get a private payment from her.
I'd delve into the deep web and look for a hitman.

Elva Courier build thread here!
It only shows on the report if the repair is structural or exceeds a certain dollar amount I believe. I've had two issues with my e36, vandalism loss and an old dude back into me, neither exceeded $3k, and neither showed on the Carfax I recently ran. Neither were my fault either.
You'll still be required to report it to DMV
Get it to a body shop on a lift for a estimate it may not look bad, but if she bent your cars frame it's time to file a claim, if not and its all visual I'm sure she'll agree on a cash settlement for your replacement bumber and her rates won't increase, a win win. Anyway, Best of luck!
