Hello everyone. my central lock switch is slowly dying and I'm going to buy a replacement.
my question is are there any differences between OEM or aftermarket besides price?
i know from experience that OEM for BMWs are the way to go. But seeing as this switch has a bad failure rate, is OEM worth the price???
TIA.
Anyone???
I for one have never replaced a central locking switch on any BMW. What I have done in the past is take them apart and clean the contacts, perhaps you should give that a try first.

Probably got something spilled in/on it. Common due to the location. Soak it in hot water for 15-20 minutes, rinse it out then shake or blow out as much excess water as possible. Let it dry over night. I have revived a bunch of them like that.
