Talking Help - BMW 745Li Headlight Cleaning

Hi, does anyone know how to properly remove the clear headlight cover from a 2003 745Li? I unlocked the clips but clear cover won't come off.

I don't think they're made to come off. I'm not 100% sure, but I bet they're glued on. I have heard of people using a heat gun to soften the urethane adhesive, but honestly, I wouldn't risk it. Headlights are super expensive! Are you trying to clean off the haze? It's not something you can just clean off. They need to be professionally restored. It requires sanding, buffing, and polishing.

They are glued in with urethane (windshield adhesive). I just got these and will be replacing. Even after trying to "restore" mine, they still look like crap.

Just make sure you use windshield adhesive when you reinstall them to keep all the moisture out.
