There has to be a driveshaft repair shop for tractor trailers somewhere in Nevada, they will be able to do this job for you

Get a driveshaft flange from jagsthatrun.com (http://jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Parts_B...ft-flange.html) and a driveshaft yoke for the W58/R134 or whatever you've got, then add $200-300 for the shop to make you a driveshaft from scratch with these parts

Modded driveshafts suck, they seem to wind up breaking quite a bit

Mine is the tri-prong transmission (ZF) to 6 bolt diff. I'm fine with getting a one piece, as long as it's not a stupid expensive.

Ok, if I understand correctly, maybe one or two of you were waiting patiently for me to confirm that the JBL Flip3 bluetooth speaker plays from the 3.5mm aux input while charging. I finally remembered to get the aux cable out of my wife's car today, and I did confirm it works great like that. Went old school and blasted out some Mudvayne and Korn like a boss. That is old school now, isn't it? I'm so old I have no idea what eras of stuff are what anymore.

Is that stuff really that old now!?!?! Man time flies...

And as for "awful"? They're certainly not greats, but come on man, it's not like it's Bieber or something.

Apologies to any closet Bieber lovers I may have offended with that remark! Haha

I personally think Katy Perry being blasted from inside the 1JZ E36 Party while on grid is the best test. JBL Flip3 on order.

Katy Perry blasting from inside the #gripmissile last year at the Tail of the Dragon was a real thing. And I'm old AF.

That actually sounds brilliant. I feel like I need to hike down there with one of my S#!Tboxes and tear through the dragon with you some time.

The only time I've driven it was once when I navigated through it by accident on the way to family vacation somewhere in the Smokies. I took the whole family and one of my dogs through the Dragon in my old dogvan/minivan (2005 Dodge Grand Caravan fully loaded with crap) at the highest possible speed I could muster. It was shocking how well that old 260k miles van did, it was shocking how little my family complained, and it was shocking how tired I got about 3/4 of the way through. That damn thing just goes on and on, and at some point I just wanted it to be over. I do think I would like to try it in a good handling car with decent brakes some time though.

Went to start the thingy today with the minimum amount of things needed and BOY LET ME TELL YOU...

What a DUD! Hahaha so I cranked it for a while to get some oil pressure and all good. Hooked up fuel and the coils and this thing sprayed more fuel from the injectors than a girl splishsplash wet zone.
Somehow between that my fusible link blew so now I gotta replace that and figure out why this fuel rail sucks at sealing.

/was too tired to do anything about it after replacing a E46 Alternator.

didja lube up the injector o-rings before installation? this one time at band camp, i had to replace injectors on an old truck. i must've pinched an o-ring during the install, because after a few minutes fuel was spraying everywhere and when i pulled the injectors to figure out what was wrong, i noticed that a few of them were torn. then a coworker mentioned that he always lubes the o-rings up before installs, as that it can prevent the rings from catching on the bung and potentially ripping

i guess the moral of the story is that there's rarely such a thing as not enough lube

Yep, every set I do at work gets a generous helping of Vasoline before install.

Yep I know all about lubing them o-rings. Nonetheless I pulled out the rail and injectors to check all the orings, all are fine. Stuck them back in with more lube and tried again... SQUIRT

I think the issue lies with the rail being shitty (it's a old driftmotion rail that they appear to have stopped selling, well they sell an identical one but it's anodized).
A lot of the injectors just feel loose in there, like the rail is too tall in a certain sections to hold the injector firmly against the intake manifold. Even if it didn't leak fuel it would likely be a boost leak.

Saw this on Radium's site so I might go with this. Pricey but every other non-ebay rail I find is just as much.

Well I got this new rail this week.

I'm missing a -8AN Plug for the center there and my fusible link for the battery cable is still busted and I'm not sure what the best way to replace it is.

EDIT: spliced a maxi fuse holder in and cut out the oem fusible link, tried to start and it blows the 50Amp fuse. Checked my power block and realized I'm an idiot and put my starter power on that 50amp wire.
Not a fan of the way the maxi fuse holder looks so I'll probably go get a battery cable at a junkyard tomorrow.
