I can see how lines and fittings would be on back order. This is peak build season. Plus after xmas gift cards gotta be used on something? lol.

Summit is usually on point. I'd call and see if you couldn't exchange them for a different brand that they do have in stock, since they have like 10 different options for each hose. Speedway is also awesome. Not sure if you have them there, but my local pep boys also stocks Russel brand AN fittings and hose.

also, one of these is going on my cage this season, haha

I'm glad we can all agree that our drift cars need music!

Found a guy local that can do my transmission brace, he does some crazy off-road truck stuff so it should be sturdy enough.

EDIT: I've probably fallen a little behind on getting the car ready for Southwest Drift Rd. 1. Especially since I wanted to get really used to the car before caging it.

Even if I was to magically finish the car before the drift event on Jan 28th that's only 3 practice events locally before Rd.1 in April. Even then I still need SLR full kit in my life.
Meh. whatever, I suck and probably wouldn't qualify regardless

to do list for my own record:
    Transmission brace
    Driveshaft
    Shifter selector rod
    Power steering lines
    Intercooler & Piping
    Schedule tune
    Alignment

Since the trans brace will be getting done next week I figured I have to make the banana trailer worthy.
    - Received the tensioner I bought off ebay so I got to put the serpentine belt on.
    - BKR7E plugs in gapped to .028
    - Still no update on my AN hoses from Summit, sent them a email
    - Talked to Chasebays and I'm going to be getting set up with power steering lines and PS cooler

Bolting the radiator support on really got me in my feels, here's some pics

It really is, without all of the factory intake and turbo stuff on both sides. Looks fantastic.

Fabricator finally had a tiny amount of time to have me bring my car over for the transmission brace.
He's been building a S14 Cage for a local who's going into Pro2 so I can understand he's been very busy.
Anyways, I thought my car was high still but apparently it's quite low because we went through hell and back to load and unload the car onto a trailer. When I go pick it up I'll raise the coilovers to avoid the struggle.

AN Hoses FINALLY arrived today too.

Fabricator. psh. Just use some PVC pipe and wood glue.

PS know where I can get premade AN lines? Like fixed lengths?

Not low huh? Not sure how you could think that... Lol

Oh, btw, I have JBL and Anker bluetooth jamzboxes arriving today so I can test them out and see if I like one.

They'll make it for you with your specs. It's super easy though, I kind of enjoy it except for when you get up to big sizes like -16 and -20.

Let me know how those work out. I'm kinda looking for one that lets me do 3.5mm aux and hardwire power so I don't have to be charging batteries. And somehow mountable in the car of course

Thanks. I'm lazy and just want stuff predone. I think I can sell an E30/E36 ABS delete for like $50. It looks like 2 lines, some AN to brake line adapters, and 1 T fitting.

Yeah the ABS delete is stupid easy. Exactly as you said two lines, one with a T fitting on the end. I also had to use a 318i reservoir. Eventually I'll go back in and make my own brake hardlines though... or on the next chassis.

I keep thinking I will want a manual adjustable (knob) proportioning valve... You guys don't want that, huh?

I do but the stock bias is also fine IMO. At least for M3 brakes. And I think you can't put the proportioning valve anywhere useful now due to rules? (inside the car)

Well, if the stock proportioning is fine, then it's not worth messing with I suppose. I wouldn't mind mine being under the hood so at least I could make adjustments in between drives/runs if necessary.

I have Alex at S2 Racing Composites looking into making a budget friendly, super light weight e36 hood. Not sure if it's possible, but he's going to check into the cost of honeycomb core material again and find out.

The brake prop valve is in line with the rear brakes (at least on an E30). My plan is to run a line directly from the master rear port to that valve. So theoretically, if you just wanted to put in something aftermarket there, you can. It's even in a reasonably good spot to adjust between runs. Unless you're like me and have headers right there.

I'll hopefully have time away from the baby tomorrow to do this. I'll take pix.

Are the E36s and 46s different in that aspect? I could have swore the E46 prop valve was part of the ABS pump assembly, and when deleting ABS you had to install an aftermarket one. I have mine in the car, right by my handbrake, although that may be FD illegal now?

    - - - Updated - - -

nope, rulebook says Rule C3 "driver adjustable brake bias is allowed"

    Thanks Protobrov!

Lit22 (you know you want to change your screen name to that), do you ever see a hood vent like that but cheaper and recessed instead of protruding?

@justin - I think late model OBD2 E36s might have it in the ABS unit like E46s. It's been so long since I've ripped into either of those chassis that I don't remember. It's not something I look for. A prop valve is so easy to install if you're deleting the ABS anyway. Quite honestly, I see no point in removing the ABS unit unless you're like me and think it might be the reason your brakes feel like a donkey on xanax.

+1 on the slimmer hood vent. I hate hood vents but my under hood temps get so bad that even my propped up ghetto hood mod doesn't so much.

I'm 99% sure you have to remove it with the LS swap, but I honestly can't remember. I made all new hard lines from the master for some reason though, lol

As far as a cheaper hood vent no I don't know of one.
http://www.945garage-us.co/product/universal-hood-vents This sits flush but its $250

also these for the traditional aftermarket BMW. (I don't like this style though)

What prop valves are you guys running? Maybe I'll throw one in :P
