Yeah, I ran out at LS fest and spent an hour calling around trying to find some. Twisted Motion came through with some Ignite Racing in the 5 gallon cans, but it's about $10 a gallon.

Awesome this thing is finally tuned! See you at Southwest next season?

Talked to my dude out there, and he says they still have it at the places he's been getting it. I found it on GasBuddy app when I delivered the car to him.

Dang dude, I love the way JZ's sound, and yours is no exception. IIRC, Chelsea goes into detail on his ideal fuel system on an e36/46 somewhere on here, and I think Mike Van Shellenbeck also talks about his in his (100 page) build thread. I think the consensus is that a surge tank w/ the stock tank is the way to go. Not sure what combination of pumps, however.

That's the plan, hopefully caged by then and we get some tandems in

Few little updates for sake of having this thread.
Had a straight pipe 3" added. May add muffler later, a bit loud.

Removed the turbo to add a gasket since the manifold wasn't sealing so great, did stage 8 turbo bolts too.

My switch panel harness was drawing a bit too much power so it melted this 50a fuse. Went back to OEM battery cable and rewired things. Everything works much better now.

Got these SLG dual caliper brackets but having issues with fitment, they are helping me sort out the problems though

Added some ebay polyurethane front lip for looks. Also ditching felony form for Big Duck Club overfenders to get more angle clearance.

I'm going to start making an effort to not read posts by "liquidity." Never very friendly/pleasant.

I am sure he meant grade 8 bolts lmao.

That's super wierd on the SLG brackets. I just installed a E36m3 set last week and it was easy peasy. Have you figured out the issue?

Sigh.. These were released a week after I got mine welded on. Curious to know how they turn out, because eventually I'd like to grind mine off and get these.
Keep it simple: half gutted '01 330i, welded diff, BC coils, SLR Super kit

I also thought that was quite apparent.

Still loving this build Andy, I hope you get to rip some reckless shenanigans in it soon!

We haven't figured out the issue yet, I ordered up new rotors to verify that's not the problem first.

Nope I meant stage 8 turbo locking bolts. They stop your turbo bolts from backing out or getting loose.

Thanks! I have gotten to drive it around 100miles. Engine and drivetrain feel great! My only complaint is the AKG Shifter being shorter than I'd like it to be. Drifts well even with my eyeball alignment and no ebrake.

Those Stage 8 lockers are really nice, but I personally prefer NordLocks. They're a bit easier to remove when you want and look nicer IMO.

Keep it up, Andy. You're almost there.

Wow!! So I guess you "lost me at Stage 8 turbo bolts" too!! Lol. I just didn't know I was lost. Those are cool. Now I have to go and google up some NordLocks. I guess I'm a fastener caveman. (Apologies to Liquidity)

I'm really looking forward to seeing and hearing more of your car in the near future. I had no idea how much I loved 2Js and 1Js until I was around a couple of them lately to tune them in a drift car and a time attack style car. They are more compact in the engine bay than I expected, and of course they rip like there's no tomorrow. Overall I am just in love with them. Haha

I like to tack weld on all my nuts so they don't come off.

Wanted to post an update on the seems legit garage dual caliper brackets.
They were super helpful and sent me another set to try, I also tried a different rotor.

Unfortunately still having clearance issues with the rotor and the caliper carrier hitting the rotor. Only thing I can think of is inconsistent BMW casting or some weird thing they only did to ‘95 M3’s.

Took a dremel to some pieces and now seems to work ok. Overall still better than weld-on tabs or having to remove the wheel bearing.

Random question to those of you with SLR and a front swaybar.
Using stock hardware on the endlink to the LCA? Mine doesn't fit, figured I could just drill it out a little, going down to m6 seems a little... small

I tried something similar and came to the same conclusion. SLR sells their own sway bar links that I think are better to use. Gotta pay for Sean's kid's college.

I'm using bimmerworld adjustable ones. But I still had to drill an extra hole in my whiteline bar for it to fit.

Got the SLR Endlinks in so stock Non-M swaybar is in.

I've been learning a bit of Fusion360 lately and decided to give a shot at making a bolt in handbrake mount. Sent it out to get laser cut and looks like it's going to work great.

Obviously this one kind of works for me because I use a AKG shifter & Chasebays handbrake but I was thinking of making one universal that I could sell if there was any interest. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Iirc the akg shifter uses the stock "holes" so that part should be good. You just need the bolt patterns of the other hand brakes. Or people can drill their own.

Got the new BDC Overs painted. Still needs a buff and car is filthy but wanted to get some pictures. New rear wheels from cosmis are on too. I got fronts but since it's a 215/40 on a 18x9 nobody open weekends wants to mount it. Thought about buying my own tire machine hah.
(Did I mention working business hours sucks?)
255/35 Federals in the back added a surprising amount of grip from 245 maybe the added track width too?

Also giving up on the SLG Dual Caliper setup and got with chasebays for a wilwood setup that's coming soon. (SLG Dual Caliper with E39 Brackets for sale fits E36 M3 $200)
All that's really left is get a new windshield and probably check alignment again, oh and spare tires.

Haven't felt much need to work on the car since we have a lot less events now. (they're also all on weekday nights which sucks for my work schedule)
