It looks like gatouille prefers the widebody fender flares smoothed into the hood/quarter panel, rather than the tacked on with zip screws race car look.

It's not lining up with the body rest of the kit because the hood isn't fully closed. Also there is a sheet of aluminum inserted between to keep the fiberglass resin from sticking the flare to the lower panel.

Ah, I thought that metal panel was the top of the lower kick panel and the adjustment he made was just cutting the rear of the widebody flare off!

Yes looks much better moulded in

    Great effort looking good.
I'd love to put some flares on mine to allow me to run wider tires. But the idea of going complete custom scares me..one off track excursion and a lot of work can be laid to waste and the down time could be significant. It be great if there were bolt on fenders, hood ect. in CF to save weight to do this with replacements readily available like the e36 M3 PTG style kits.
Looking forward to seeing yours finished.

The hood was cleaned, a very huge job, because the layer under the blue paint was very hard to remove.
He was coated with resin polyester, later it will sanding,

The front wing also asks for some attentions.

I ordered custom-made parts at SCP Shop, the boss Nicolas Savignat, based near my home is very helpful and nice. I want high quality . I need hub BMW 5X120mm classic central bore BMW (76,2 I believe) on wheel rim side , I need 5X120 but a 80 mm bore. Because of my specifics RIMS.

Also available with screw like OEM.

    Thank you Nicolas!

my wheel rims have got 10X18” ET35 (IS35) the OEM rear wheel rims have (9X17 ET7) So I need 45 mm (spacers).
In front I do the same.
These rims are that I do my best to keep them end use them !

550 grams saved (19,5 oz) without calenders, it will be easier to catch the hood when I want to open it., also more air for motor.

    Great pictures !
The OEM head cover is going to be replaced by a carbon, the weight of OEM part is 1,2 kilos, We’ll see later the carbon part’s weight .

I have to participate in the work to limit the budget, what is my eternal concern.

The hood, it is not me who sanded it

I sanded doors, and I took advantage of it to secure screws set in aluminum inserts, with a risk of failing , or a loosening, this advise was given by a famous French pilot (vintage races) Renault 5 Turbo. Mr Jean PierreDel Fiacco, we can We can stick hinges. I opted for one against nuts

They put "something" on my hood because it was not possible to put prier for paint. This hood was in so bad shape.

I sand the doors and front wings, a lot of job...

A photo with my M coupe and my very first tracdays' car (Alfa ROmeo GTV2.0 L

I bought very cheaper a special intake from a famous french BMW's specialist. There is a lot of job, we'll see later.

Thank you DimrBimmer, if someone wants to mount the same hood, he must mount the ful fiberglass french kit :
My hood means special and wider front wings, front bumper extensions.
Front wider wings means special and wider underbody, then that means rear wings extensions, and rear bumper extension. Or special front and rear bumers which are available.

If someone wants to contact them (email) They have all parts except the Hartge hood.

Wheels are mounted, I wanted alloy nuts, but they xere to long for my screws, safer is better than lighter !

80 hours of job (with paint), almost half of them for the hood... It's easy to do a better job, but I have to deal with time and money...

The boss id so happy in his Formula 2 Ferrari powered !

In case of you don't know which model of Porsche is this one !
