This problem has been fairly recent, but has been going on long enough to have happened multiple times. When it rains, some water leaks into the pillar on the driver's side of the windshield in front of the door. It comes through the fabric and drips into the interior, about halfway up said pillar. When it happened again today, I noticed that the front area inside the driver's side window fogged up a bit, up to where the drops formed. I'm not sure what causes this - maybe the door seals badly or something like that? I don't think that it leaks while parked, but I could be wrong. I'd appreciate any insight as to what's happening, and any suggestions on actions to take. Thanks.
Pillar leaks, sunroof drains clogged or cracked drain tubes on sunroof cassette, carpet wet, vapor barriers, sunroof drains
The heavy condensation is caused by water pooling. Sometimes it pools beneath the floor so even if it looks like everything is dry water vapor still moves around.
Door seal failures are not uncommon in BMW's (in my experience).
Not so much a signature as a cry for help.
Hold on, saw this in a cartoon once...think I can pull it off.
Turns out the sunroof drain tubes were coming apart. Thank you for the replies, it's fixed now.
