    One of a Kind Ds1's

Well, I've had this idea for so long now and the time was right. I found a shop that took on the challenge and I couldn't be happier with the results. These are a couple pics from the process, but basically we Cut the original lips, CNC'd them, powder coated them, diamond cut the faces, and they are getting clear coated right now. We re-lipped them to 17x9 and 17x10. The lips being 2.5's and 3.5's respectively

I take the bus to work.
so you cut the lip off another set of wheels and welded them onto the DSI wheel?

Yeah, we thought that would be more safe than just banding the wheel. I've heard that the metal can be malleable and it's really only good for show cars, but since I need the car as a daily driver we went with the other option
