Purchasing Advice - Year? Common Issues? Best decision?

Hey everyone,

Very new here and I have been looking at quite a few 128 / 135's ranging from the years 2008 - 2013.
Basically before i make the purchase i want to be sure it's right like any other, anything i need to look out for? any specific recalls during certain years? any points of failure? any reasons to buy a certain year or model over another? any to stay away from? Any thoughts that come to mind will be taken into consideration, thank you!

Some may advise later years for the 135i due to HPFP and some other issues, but with the earlier years going on 8 years old I think any of those issues would have presented themselves and have been rectified by now. You should be good with any year 128i and in my personal opinion, any year 135i. Get an inspection done at a reputable BMW shop if you are not sure about a specific car.
