Wow great work and limitless compassion. I would have just put it out of it's misery and killed it with fire!
I wish I were an octopus so I could give you 8 thumbs up. What a journey, well done!

You make me feel lazy.... I want those exact seats in my M3!!!. Please tell me how is the seating position?, I saw you went with planted seat brackets what was fitment like with it all?
Planted brackets are great and fitment is spot on. Seating position with SRD is couple inches lower and unfortunately offset from steering wheel like most aftermarket seats in an E36. Would highly recommend going with Recaro sliders because I had to butcher from VAC ones and wouldn't do it again.
Killer build. Following for inspiration on mine.

You can also use an e46 non-m oil filter housing on the m52 which will give you two oem bungs to tap out of for whatever sensors you like. Nice build buddy you are very consistent with the upkeep

its been a number of years since I did mine but I believe i pulled it from m54
edit - just checked its from an m54. Same housing gasket for both good to go if you want to simplify the setup

I'm not sure what you're planning for the repair, but I have a 3.23 168mm diff that I ran in my 93 325is for about 2 years. I know, I know "but those 168 diffs are glass"!! Not this one. It's put together with an LSD from some strange Euro 5 series that's super robust. I have pics of the LSD out of the pumpkin to show what I mean.
I ran it with my built 3.0 M52 based motor that was producing 270whp - 240ft/lbs of torque. It was an autocross car. The complete diff was fully rebuilt, new everything, bearings, clutches, friction discs, etc... about 12,000 miles ago by Wanganstyle on here.
I will make you a pretty sweet deal if this is something you're considering. I'll include the diff, the axles (they're smaller - lighter than the 6 cyl axles) and the rear section of the driveshaft (slightly longer than the 6 cyl driveshaft). Shipping is going to be killer, but the diff is "killer". I ship from Blaine, Wa 98230.

Thanks for offer but you are right on shipping and I need a diff ASAP to get car back on road since it is now my daily.
