    Fuel Pump and Sender

Is this the correct Fuel Pump for my BMW E32 750iL:
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Fuel-P...kAAOSwPCVX2U7R

Is this the correct part number for the Fuel Sender for my BMW E32 750iL:
    16141180893
    or is it
    1180019

Seems as though the part numbers keep changing, so just wanted to 100% sure before I buy 2x Pumps and 1x Fuel Sender.

For my 1992 750iL, both pumps are part number:
    16146768653

The pump you have linked will require wiring.

I bought two pump from TRE. After some research, they seemed to be a reputable company. In fact, I had an issue with one pump where a stud broke and on a Sunday they took care of it with a new one shipped out right away. They have now been installed for many months and no issues. These pumps as just a bit better rated than stock and require no re-wiring, modification, etc. Direct fit and they will fit the pre-filter.

And that reminds me, dont forget to get the pre-filter. I think there is no cheap option here, most run about $40US. You may be able to clean your original one if its not too bad. The pre-filter or pick-up filter sits at the bottom of both pumps.

Does that fit straight in to our original pump bracket? Does the prefilter fit into the end without any issues? This is a great alternative if they work in our cars. $150+ for a single pump haunts me at night... lol

Yup - direct fit. I tried to find the thread I had on my install, but I did not find it. Its why I really like them, factory wiring and no weird inlet size for the filter. I think the only issue is they seemed a tad thinner. But just a tiny bit. Once in the basket there was no issue at all.

Fuel Sender was stuck, free'd it up, now the Fuel Guage works.
However the Trip Computer still says 0.0 MPG for Consumption. The range is working correctly though.
So, is there a reset feature for the OBC?

The Battery was disconnected when I was working on the Fuel Sender, so the Magic Reset has already been done.

OK so fuel sender is still stuck. Just that its stuck at half way now, rather than at the bottom..lol
So I will need a new fuel Sender.

Is there a way to test to see if both Fuel Pumps are working correctly?

You could probably clean it. Two methods. One is a fuel cleaning additive. Others have reported this can help. If not, the other is to take it apart and very carefully clean the wires.

Cheers, I will try to clean it first then. As I cannot find the fuel sender (Part No. 16141180893) anywhere in the UK apart from direct from BMW at £205.

Yeah just use a 12 volt source you can connect the cable back to the sender and reconnect the battery then switch the cars accessories on and see if they're alive.
