Hi
I have 95 325i swap in m52b28 and m50b20 manifold and all m50 sensors
Pu the key in 2 position fuel pump relay works but fuel pump isnt.
bridge from 30 to 87 and nothing if i bridge 87 to fuse 18 i get fuel.
in the dme relay i have no + supply at all check 30 and 87 and both no +
What could happend?
Day before that happend
Got my hands on m50b25 manifold and got some spark plugs, bosch o2 universal sensor and ect sensor cause mine was bad unplugged all needed for replacing intake manifold plugged the scanner while all dissassembled just ect sensor connected showes 143c replace the sensor and and the scanner show 20c i forgot the obd 1 scanner plugged all night and the next day morning unplugged it.
in the evening i came back to put the manifold and everything back plugged in my scanner to check everything is ok before reassembling and no signs from the ecu, sensors or fuel pump.
No water on ecu area
Help me please!!
Your first step should be to make sure the battery is fully charged. Second step is to do a "battery reset". Remove both cables from the battery, and hold them together for a minute, then hook them up again.
Several things you've said don't correlate:
You "put key in position 2, and fuel pump relay works but fuel pump doesn't" ? But if your DME relay doesn't work, the fuel pump relay can't possibly work.
And you bridge 30 to 87 and you get nothing, but if you bridge 87 to fuse 18 you get fuel? Are we talking about the fuel pump relay or the main (DME) relay?
What device are you using to determine whether you have power at any given point?
And, forget about the fuel pump, if the main (DME) relay isn't delivering power out of its 87 and 87a pins. And certainly, if the DME relay isn't getting power in, as your title says, then you can forget about ALL the relays, and fix the wire between battery and fuse box (likely the B+ terminal underhood, or the battery ground is loose or corroded.)
Are you absolutely sure you're testing the correct relays? Sometimes people shuffle the 3 relay-group around. Tell us what color the wires are, at the bottom of the two relays you're calling main and fuel.
And is the DME bolted in place? Because it needs to be grounded......
