heads came in today! got them built and was able to put one of them on the motor. I am waiting for one more headgasket to come in. hopefully tomorrow. I also ordered all of my stainless tubing to build my headers and turbo kit.

    just some as cast heads.

these are some bad ass headgaskets

*drool* I pretty much know nothing about what makes one head great over another, but man that's purdy. Keep the updates coming!

Well, that does me no good! LOL

Looks great BTW. I did hear about the valves coming with certain Trick Flow heads being weak and collapsing up into the runners. Not certain but I'd check into it.

Not knowing much about boost, is there an objective/conclusive way to determine that head lift has occurred?

Or is it a conclusion arrived at (a guess) based on the supporting symptoms?

under high load the head lifts due to not having enough clamping force. in this case it is because the heads themselves were weak. when it lifts it pushed water into the cylinder. in my case it blew the head gasket.

the new turbos will allow the exhaust gasses to pass with less restriction and the new heads not only flow better but they have a thicker base to them and a stronger aluminum which will prevent the head from lifting (hopefully).

these are prepped by Brian Tooley. They come to him as a bare casting. He sent them to TEA to have the chambers and bowls CNC'd then put in powdered valve guides (which is the problem you are referring to) and his own stainless valves,

well I got the motor about 95% back together. shitty part is the trick flow heads do not allow for use of the factory rocker stands. I'm not even sure if I can use the factory rockers. I found that some people used the factory rockers shimming the base up a little.

    few more updates.

I built new motor mounts, switched to a corvette balancer and waterpump for more room

I built the turbo downpipe and began attempting to fit the turbos in place.

also built my first double slip merge collector. I still need to finish off the inside. more to come

I'm jealous of the extra room you have made with the custom radiator and such. I am contemplating completely cutting out the drivers frame rail to get the turbo further away from the balancer and belt. Then I can hopefully put a 90 on the down pipe to route it under my Taurus fan.

Anywhoo, this is coming along nicely! I'm happy about updates!

This is positively ludicrous and it makes my ambitions seem so much simpler. I really needed that inspiration and I am excited to see some video of this monster when done. Thank you for this journey so far outside of the box.

updates. headers built, started test fit/final welding tonight. I had to make hard lines for the drains due to the tight space. I have to adjust one of the feed pipes for the turbo cause it is touching the sway bar. the exhaust is going to be a tight fit but that's never stopped me before ill spit on it and get it in there.

I also have shifted my business more to fabricating so I have also changed up my shop name a little and created a new logo with the help of my brother.

new shop name is Fox Fabrications and here is my new logo. you can follow me on Instagram Fox_Fab I tend to update that more often than I do here.

Looks awesome! Top notch stuff! Your engine must be set back a bit further than mine. I just don't seem to have the room you do.

possibly. I did set it back about another 1.25" when I built the custom mounts and had 1.25" taken off the driveshaft. makes it impossible to remove the trans without pulling the motor.

Wow. That’s absolutely beautiful. Saying I’m impressed is a gross understatement.

Is that photoshopped? It looks too perfect!

not too much to update. I built the intercooler and started on the charge pipe. I am doing a 5" oval charge pipe to be able to sneak over the radiator but still be able to close the hood with minimal cutting. only problem is there is no such thing as 5" oval aluminum tubing so I have to make it out of sheet metal. the only issue is going to be ensuring I can still clamp a coupler onto it. worst case senerio is I make it a one piece to the intercooler. but I believe if I brace the inside of the ends to keep them from distorting from the clamp and boost I should be fine. I may make them bulge out a little to ensure the clamp has some positive engagement of the tubing.
