I just saw this on another ( wooden boat )forum. From Australia:

For the second time this last six months, he was the passenger in a car wreck that's written off cars. The last one was a pristine BMW E38 740 (his). This time, it was a high mileage (330k kms) BMW E39 that got t-boned... on his side. They cut him out with the 'jaws of life'. That's it for that car.

He wasn't looking too good when I got to him in Acute Care. He managed to arrive in the middle of chaos... a major stack at the local bike races, a few pedestrian injuries, etc. He's finally through CT scans, etc... no results from that yet.

He was thanking his lucky stars that he was in a BMW.... a 50 kph t-boning isn't the sort of thing you want to be involved in if you are in a tissue-box car.
