E46 sunroof not initializing

Sunroof in my 2001 325CI won't reinitalize. All the how-tos seem to say just push and hold the "tilt" button to have the sunroof go through its full process, but mine doesn't.

When I push the "tilt" button, the sunroof tilts up and stops. After about 15-20 seconds, I hear the motor (I think it's the motor) click but nothing happens. I keep holding the "tilt" and ever 15-20 seconds I get clicks but no movement.

Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated.
