The only redeeming factor imo is the V8. But compared to modern cars it isn't that much more powerful. Plus I don't like the steering on them so.

Eh, the E46 M3 isn't all that powerful either, but you still like it. You can't really compare these older cars to the newer ones, you just have to enjoy them for what they are.

Me and a buddy of mine (drives a s430) decided we're both going to buy spare diffs for our land yachts next summer to weld and take them out drifting.

I think it would be fun to go out into a land full of 3 series, Miatas, and brzs and smoke some tires with our massive cars

Yeah but it's 6 cylinder. Not an out dated V8. Plus the E46 looks better imo, more modern then an E39. Plus lighter by at least 500 lbs

Finally got a chance to build a "route" for a trip to LA using some of the best roads in the area from a list from Nate. There's definitely more canyon roads id try to hit in malibu. But I give up trying to add them to my map due to frustration.

motor trend just did a test on different types of air filters for carbureted engines and those killed 71 horsepower over a round 14x4 k&n for example

I'd probably throw on electronic fuel injection if I had a classic car. Life's too short to deal with carburetors, and the fuel injection kits from Holley and MSD are getting to be quite cheap nowadays. It's also much easier to run a supercharger with fuel injection.
