Eh, I could never go to an E46 (unless it was an M3). The interiors feel cheaper and they're way too small inside.

I know. But - all due respect cuz you know I respect you - you are poster boy for poor objectivity for other people and struggle to see a difference between your preferences and others. You have been very clear that you think what works for you is great for everybody and that M62TUs are great and anyone who doesn't see that is foolish. In reality different people need and value different things.
For a lot of people E46's are great. I didn't say above EVERYBODY MUST GET ONE THEY ARE BETTER THAN E39... I do think they are prob better for most layman civilians tho. I have one of each and both cars are super for different reasons. Redshift - a guy who you can't say is just a dumb civilian - has an E46 and 2 E39's and he's taken to loving his E46 more these days it seems. People like different things sometimes entirely sometimes just at different times.

Actually he has two if you count the convertible one his wife drives.
330i sedan is really close interior size-wise to the e39.

Hello all, its been a bit. With school, work, girlfriend, and getting that shit-pile of a car out of my drive, its been a busy few weeks. Hows everyone been?
WOW didn't realize how close they were in size....
Also the "cheap" feeling for the most part is on poorly taken care of examples. I actually like the layout better than the e39 simply because there is less 'stuff' there. e46 is more of a barebones feel with a bit of luxury.

Yeah, the E46 M3 and M2 are fairly similar too.

I think we all do
I'd rather have a 996 Turbo. It's cheaper, lighter, and has the added bonus of making Porsche purists really mad. Therefore it is the perfect Porsche for me. Though I'd probably gut the AWD system on day one, because burnouts are life.

993 for me.
It's kinda confusing it goes 930, 964, 993, 996, 997 and then to 991.
And if I had the money, I'd take a 911 way before a 997. 911 GT2 RS FTW

You forgot 930 911's.
Let me restate I guess... 964 is my favorite, but if someone handed me a 997 I certainly would not turn it down....
I would say that a 996 is a pretty looking 911's. The 997 is when it all started to get that aggressive looks right upto the current 991 911 models.
