X5 Seat adjustment is inverted?

Has this happened to anyone? I find it to be a very unusual problem. I dropped my car off in the shop (not BMW) yesterday to fix the front windshield wiper since the fluid would not come out. Anyways, I picked up my car today and while driving, I tried adjusting my seat since it felt a bit high in the back. I pushed down, and the seat pushed up. I was like "Huh? Maybe I just pushed the wrong way somehow." Nope. Pushed down and the seat came up. Tried pushing the front part of the seat down and it came up. Moved the seat back and it moved forward. I'm assuming something happened while the windshield wiper was getting fixed, yet I don't know how? The passenger seat works fine. I'm just so confused. Could this just be a misplaced wire? I have a 2002 X5 by the way.

Just have had the same issue, what was the cause? Did you fix it? Thx
